Based on the least squares estimation method, the proposed algorithm can find the most similar block to replace the damaged block without worrying about the rotation, movement, or some luminance change between two sequential images. From the experimental results, the proposed algorithm achieves better performance than previous works, especially in the case where the damaged portion includes the object edge. © 2002 IEEE.application/pdf477908 bytesapplication/pdfen-USAutomatic repeat request; Computer errors; Decoding; Forward error correction; Image coding; MPEG 4 Standard; Quality of service; Shape; Streaming media; Video compressionCoding errors; Data communication systems; Data compression; Decoding; Error correction; Errors; Forward error correction; Image coding; Image compression; Least squares approximations; Media streaming; Motion Picture Experts Group standards; Quality of service; Automatic repeat request; Computer errors; MPEG-4 standard; Shape; Streaming media; AlgorithmsError recovery for MPEG-4 shape and texture informationconference paper10.1109/APCCAS.2002.11150552-s2.0-84948954946http://ntur.lib.ntu.edu.tw/bitstream/246246/2007041910021066/1/01115055.pdf
