The patients who have experienced our service are all satisfied with the medical quality, price and efficiency. With medical techniques and quality comparable to those in advanced countries of the West, NTUH offers high quality and efficient medical services to international visitors for a reasonable fee. More than 6,500 international patients receive treatment at NTUH each yea​​​r; approximately 1,200 of them are from the US and Canada.一個多世紀以來，臺大醫院不僅居臺灣醫療界的第一品牌，亦創下多項世界或亞洲臨床首例，享譽國際。除了一般醫療外，臺大醫院於肝炎、器官移植、癌症診斷治療及生醫光電均獲得國際肯定的尖端研究成果。此外在許​多領域，如免疫、心臟血管、不孕症、皮膚、眼科、骨科及各類微創手術等亦具有國際水準。 臺大醫院曾於2010年通過JCI(Joint Commission International)國際醫院評鑑，2013年通過JCI新版學術性醫學中心的國際評鑑(效期至2016.04.20)，醫療技術與醫療品質可與歐美先進國家比美，但醫療價格則相對便宜，國際人士選擇臺大醫院就醫，可以得到合理價位、高品質的醫療服務。 為此，臺大醫院於2005年11月4日成立國際醫療中心，主要任務有四： 1. 開辦「國際特約醫療服務」，協助國際人士至本院就醫。 2. 輸出本院的醫療技術，協助醫療資源不足的國家提升其醫療水準。 3. 建立海外醫療據點或分院，發展國際性的醫療業務。 4. 協助臺灣政府拓展醫療外交，建立國際醫療聯繫與合作網絡。 目前國際醫療中心設有執行長1名，護理兼行政主管1名、護理師5名及行政人員1名，另有顧問醫師數人，主要是扮演國際醫療事務窗口的角色，聯繫整合臺大醫院的醫療及人力資源，以達成上述四大任務。
