There are about 6 earthquakes with magnitude above 5.5 on the island of Taiwan and the offshore regions nearby. When this type of events occur, in addition to the basic information (hypocenter, magnitude and intensity distribution), we should also combine other scientific constraints such as the focal mechanisms, background seismicity and velocity structure. With experiences from previous studies for historic events nearby, we have better chance to quickly evaluate the related structure and properties of the event. The compiled results provide a preliminary but overall interpretation of the target earthquake. Considering the rapid responses of general people and news media right after felt large earthquakes, the material can also be used for the purpose of earthquake education in semi-real-time manner.地震震源機制地震教育隱沒帶構造earthquakesfocal mechanismsearthquake educationsubduction zone structure臺灣地區105年中大型地震震源資訊之快速彙整與提供
