Among them the Indian influenced culture had not reached to the Philippine, and Austronesian peoples stayed in large part of the archipelago area. In this point of view, culture and history of Taiwan has very closed relation with Southeast Asia, and much number of scholars, included officials of ASEAN, are thinking Taiwan is involved in Southeast Asian area.
