The polypeptide obtained by this procedure was partially purified by chromatography on Biol-gel p-100 400 Mesh. The elution profile showed 3 major peaks. Diabetogenic activity was found in the first peak by means of glucose tolerance tests in dogs. Doses of 0.2-1.0 mg/kg of body weight induced glucose intolerance and glucosuria in dogs. Disc gel electrophoretic patterns of the partially purified polypeptide from proteinuric and non-proteinuric diabetic patients were similar. The polypeptide was also found in the urine of 11 healthy subjects but in much smaller quantities than in the diabetic patients.en[SDGs]SDG2A urinary diabetogenic polypeptide in non-proteinuric diabetic patientsjournal article2916852-s2.0-0018490285https://api.elsevier.com/content/abstract/scopus_id/0018490285
