The basic elements of a children ' s library including collection ,librarians ' qualifications, and facility requirements are fully discussed. Suggestions pertaining to measures for improvement are given by the author as follows (1) Upgrading and revising of service management and standards. (2) Training of qualified 1ibrarians for children's service. (3) Encouraging the writing and publications of quality children's books. (4) Adopting user friendly methods used in classifying and cataloging children's books. (5) Compiling standard catalog for children.
