The study attempts to reveal and discuss the characteristics of the vocabulary from Chapter 1 to Chapter 10 of the book based on the number of vocabulary, by comparing the Chinese translation version with the Japanese source text. The book entitled “窗口邊的豆豆” (世茂出版,1986) has been selected for research and discussion on the basis of “book sale conditions” and “accessibility.” The current research findings suggest that the use of symbols in the Chinese translation version is not significantly different from theJapanese source text, but the average rate of word use for each chapter is lower for the Chinese translation version than that for the Japanese source text. I believe that such findings are not occasional, and are possibly related to the “agglutinative language” inherent in the Japanese language, because this difference in the number of vocabulary may be caused by the overuse of the auxiliary word“????.? A more substantial analysis report of this research will be submitted after subsequent studies have been completed. The objective of the Comparative Study of Vocabulary is to understand the differences and similarity of cultures inherent in different languages, from a discussion of languages. This article confirms the possibility of conducting the Comparative Study of Vocabulary of the book entitled “Modogiwa no Totto-chan” and sets a foundation for this research, which is greatly meaningful.560015 bytesapplication/pdf比較語彙論窗口邊的豆豆使用率Comparative Study of VocabularyUse Rate中国語訳《窓ぎわのトットちゃん》の語彙データについて-第1章から第10章までを例にVocabulary of the Chinese Translation of the Book Entitled “Modogiwa no Totto-chan”-Discussion from Chapter 1 to Chapter 10journal articlehttp://ntur.lib.ntu.edu.tw/bitstream/246246/282807/1/0010_200512_4.pdf
