However, the understanding of adiponectin on physiological and nutritional function in chicken is limited. A better understanding of mechanisms by which nutrients are utilized is essential for achieving optimal animal performance. According to previous study, we have successfully established the expression profiles of adiponectin and its correlation with biochemical variables. Moreover, we found the levels of circulatory adiponectin, high-molecular weight adiponectin and expression of adiponectin receptors and DsbA-L (a multimerization enzyme of adiponectin) can be regulated by high-fat diet feeding. There are some evidences adiponectin has a critical function on lipid metabolism in chicken. The current aim will continue the previous project, focusing on the effects of different forms of adiponectin on lipid metabolism in chicken. We will establish in vitro chicken cell culture systems to elucidate effects of recombinant adiponectin on adiponectin signaling with the use of CRISPR technology to validate potential function of key proteins in the regulation of adiponectin signaling, especially APPLs/TCTP/AdipoRs complex in chicken. Based on the above specific aims and the implementation of the project, we will be able to understand the function of adiponectin signaling in the regulation of physiological and nutritional aspects of chicken growth and development and explore application to the animal production.adiponectin; adiponectin receptors; chicken; lipid metabolism探討多元型態脂締素對雞隻脂質代謝的影響
