2008-02-272024-05-17https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/681715摘要:本計畫由美國國家大氣研究中心(NCAR)提供S波段雙偏極化雷達與技術人員支援,台灣提供場地與相關後勤事務支援,共同參與國科會2008年西南氣流暨地形影響季風降雨觀測實驗(SoWMEX/TiMREX 2008)。 本計畫之S-Pol雙偏極化雷達設置於屏東縣新園堤防新東段,接近高屏溪出海口,實驗期間可觀測台灣西南海域及高屏溪流域之降雨事件,進行降雨定量估計、雨滴譜參數反演及降水型態分類之研究。 由於經濟及實用性上的考量,世界其它地方也發展C頻及X頻氣象雷達,美國S-Pol的實地觀測將提供國內未來的C頻及X頻偏極化雷達一個非常重要的觀測校驗基礎,也可成為中央氣象局未來昇級現役都卜勒氣象雷達時一個重要的參考。 <br> Abstract: In this project, The National Center for Atmospheric Research provided the S band dual polarization radar (S-Pol) and technicians. Radar site and logistics were managed by NTU and CWB of Taiwan. This project is a part of SoWMEX/TiMREX 2008. This S-Pol will be placed on Sinyuan Levee, Sinyuan Township, Pingtung County, Taiwan. This site is near the outlet of Kaopin River. During the experiment, the cases near the Kaopin River Basin and South West coast will be observed to study the quantity precipitate estimation, raindrop size distribution parameters estimate, and precipitate patterns classification. Due to the economic and practical consideration, C band and X band radar were developed, too. This S band radar data can be a significant reference to calibrate our C band or X band radar in the future.
