The occurrence of such a second constant concentration regime at elevated pHs is proposed as the consequence of dissolution of cupric hydroxides precipitate that has formed and absorbed onto the clay particles. A new washing model is developed and numerically solved. Numerical results can well describe the experimental data.CopperDissolutionModelingPrecipitationWashing[SDGs]SDG6Washing characteristics of copper-containing clay sludge cakejournal article10.1016/S0043-1354(98)00178-X2-s2.0-0032890049https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-0032890049&doi=10.1016%2fS0043-1354%2898%2900178-X&partnerID=40&md5=122b504d694a738f3bea8972ec803037
