2006-08-012024-05-13https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/652808摘要:層狀黏土應用於奈米複合材料是一重要之研究領域。蒙脫土之有機化插層改質已有廣泛之文獻及商業奈米複合材料應用。多年來,本實驗室利用Jeffamnie® Amine高分子改質得到不錯的成果。藉由對黏土有機化的深入瞭解並與乳化反應技術的結合,本實驗室將設計硬式核之有機層狀黏土與軟式殼之交聯高分子,形成核殼式粒子。 本計劃擬以兩年時間詳細探討黏土、插層劑(亦是交聯劑)與高分子形成核殼式粒子之性質、乳化或有機分散聚合條件等因素。計畫內容可分述如下: 第一年:層狀有機黏土與環氧樹酯(epoxy)之核殼式粒子 利用poly(oxyalkylene)amine與黏土層間陽離子作離子交換,使得改質後有機黏土具有界面及乳化特性,而且插層劑具有之胺官能基亦能與epoxy進行交聯反應,藉由乳化交聯(或溶劑分散方式)形成核殼式粒子。 第二年:層狀有機黏土與MA、PS、PMMA之核殼式粒子 以POP-及POE-diamine接枝馬來酸酐(Poly(oxyalkylene)-amidocarboxylates)為主要插層劑(亦是交聯劑),與styrene或methylmethacry<br> Abstract: Recently, the development of layered silicates for nanocomposite applications has made a significant progress. Organic modification for montmorillonite clay has been widely reported in the area of nanocomoposites. For several years, our research group is interested in the uses of Jeffamine® Amines for clay modifications. By using our results in modifying inorganic clays into organophilic silicates and the basic understanding in emulsion polymerization, we propose to synthesize the core-shell nanomaterials consisting of a organoclay core and a soft polymer shell. This two-year proposal is to develop a synthetic methodology for preparing amphiphilic organoclays, understanding of dispersion properties in water or organic solvent and crosslinking procedures for core-shell formation. The project can be divided into two parts. For the first year: layered silicate organoclay/epoxy core-shell particles We propose to employ a series of hydrophobic and hydrophilic Jeffamine® polyamines and their copolymers to ionic-ally exchange (intercalate) layered clays. The resultant organoclays are expected to be amphiphilic, either dispersible in water (hydrophilic) or dispersible in organic solvents such as toluene (hydrophobic). Under emulsion, several epoxy curing systems will be applied to form a epoxy polymer shell around the inorganic clay core, as inorganic/organic core-shell particles. For the first year: layered silicate organoclay/MA, PS or PMMA core-shell particles The uses of POP- and POE-diamine grafted maleic anhydride, polyoxyalkylene-amidocarboxylates, as the clay intercalating agents and the uses of styrene or methylmethacrylate as the emulsion monomers, the core-shell materials are prepared. The proposed Core-Shell materials will be examined by using SEM, DSC, TEM, AFM, surface tension meter, etc. to systematically compare their amphiphilic property, morphology, and other physical properties. It will further explore the possibility of mixing into polymer matrix to prepare nanocompoistes and examine their properties. In short, this research is to extend our previous works on the Jeffamnie® Amine intercalating MMT to another area of core-shell synthesis. These layered silicate-containing core-shell structures are believed to be unprecedented in literature.
