A simple reflectarray antenna fed by a dual-polarized antenna is designed to produce contoured patterns at the sub-6 GHz band for 5G applications. The synthesis of the reflectarray elements decreases the transition region to reduce handover rate with relatively optimized field distribution. The design concept is presented with numerical examples to validate the feasibility of the antenna design. ? 2021 Taiwan Microwave Association.Contoured patternIndoor radio coverageMobile communicationReflectarray antennaBeam forming networksBeamformingDirectional patterns (antenna)Microwave antennasOptical designRadio transmissionGHz bandIndoor coverageIndoor RadioMobile communicationsRadio coverageReflectarray antennasSimple++Transmission quality5G mobile communication systemsContoured Beamforming of Reflectarray Antennas for 5G Indoor Coverage at Sub-6 GHz Bandconference paper10.23919/ISAP47258.2021.96144202-s2.0-85123281658
