2023-01-012024-05-14https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/661340癌症已是造成犬貓死亡的首要原因,申請人在過去十多年間,皆以小動物的腫瘤醫療及研究為主,研究成果對於臨床實務上也都具有實質的助益,包括提升腫瘤診斷的準確度、化療藥物劑量的調整、設計復發率更低的化學治療療程、以及發現可做為預後評估的指標等。下一階段的生涯研究目標著重在(1)設計新的化學治療療程來延長淋巴腫瘤病患的存活時間。(2)同時利用留置針來採集血液及施打化學治療藥物,降低血管反覆穿刺傷害的可行性。(3)評估阿黴素引起的心臟毒性劑量及心臟病類型,以便適時監控並給予治療。(4)比較復發之淋巴腫瘤和原發腫瘤為相同細胞來源之比例,以作為後續選擇治療藥物的依據。(5)降低化學治療的腸胃道副作用,提升病患的生活品質。(6)以藥膏塗抹皮膚的給藥方式,降低貓隻頻繁就診的緊迫。相信這些研究成果對於小動物腫瘤醫療皆有更深入的幫助,申請人也會以上述成果及先前研究,進一步申請成為亞洲獸醫內科專科院士(腫瘤科),以期能增進和亞洲各國獸醫師的交流,並在台灣訓練更多年輕的腫瘤專科獸醫師。 Cancer has become the leading cause of death in dogs and cats. In the past years, the applicant has mainly focused on the research of oncology treatment in small animals. The research results are also of substantial benefit to clinical practice, including improving the accuracy of tumor diagnosis, adjustment of chemotherapy drug doses, designing a new chemotherapy protocol with lower recurrence rates, and identifying some prognostic factors. The next career research goal is to focus on (1) designing a new chemotherapy protocol to prolong the survival time in lymphoma patients. (2) Use the same indwelling catheter to collect blood and administer chemotherapeutic drugs, and evaluate the feasibility of reducing repeated puncture injuries of blood vessels. (3) Evaluate the dose of cardiac toxicity and type of heart disease caused by doxorubicin, therefore, we can monitor and treat in time. (4) Compare the proportion of the same cell origin between relapse lymphoma and primary tumors, and use it as a basis for subsequent selection of therapeutic drugs. (5) Reduce the gastrointestinal side effects of chemotherapy and improve the quality of life. (6) To reduce the stress of frequent doctor visits for cats by applying transdermal medication. It is believed that these research results will be of more help to the medical treatment in small animal oncology. The applicant will further apply to become an academician of the Asian College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) based on the above results and previous research, in order to enhance exchanges with veterinarians from various countries in Asia.
