湯明哲臺灣大學：國際企業學研究所蘇淑芬2007-11-282018-06-292007-11-282018-06-292004http://ntur.lib.ntu.edu.tw//handle/246246/60454論文摘要 技術的演進是推動電腦與通訊在過去二十多年來蓬勃發展的主要因素.由類比到數位,尤其是數位的普及化,使數位聚合〈Digital Convergence〉成為必然.電腦與通訊在技術上進行整合,於是產生創新的產品與服務.本文將探討數位聚合對產業發展所產生的「質變」與「量變」. 電腦與通訊原為平行發展的兩項科技,但在數位化的普及,尤其是網際網路的興起後,以及頻寬的突破之下,數位聚合的影響使這二大科技的界線愈來愈模糊,C&C(Computers & Communications )已成事實,下一步3C(2C加上consumer electronics)即家庭數位化/個人生活數位化的時代即將來臨, 再加上無線通訊的發展 ,第三次工業革命儼然成形. 本文以電腦及電信/通訊的發展背景,探討其因數位聚合所產生的影響.在電腦產業方面,從大型的主機到個人電腦, 封閉系統到開放架構, 垂直整合到水平發展.通訊方面,由類比的電話到數位的電話, 由固網到無線通訊.無線通訊平台則由泛歐式行動系統(GSM)到第三代行動電話.再加上網路的普及化.如此的演進歷程加速數位聚合的發展.數位聚合所帶來的科技整合,將使未來的世界達到無時無地的溝通包括語音、數據、影像.顯然數位聚合的科技發展提升了人類生活智慧的能力. 本論文最後由電腦廠商, 電信服務商與通訊設備供應商的角度探討其因應的策略.在這場數位聚合的演進中,唯有掌握潮流的趨勢,即時的企業轉型才能保住競爭的優勢.Abstract The evolution of technology is the major factor for the fast development on computers and communications in the past 20 more years. From Analogue to Digital, especially the popularity of digital makes the Digital Convergence become an unavoidable trend. The integration on the technology of computers and communications creates innovative products and services. The thesis is to discuss the changes on ‘quality and quality’ caused by Digital Convergence. Originally, computer and communication were developed in a parallel way. However, since the popularity of digitalization, especially the booming of internet and the breakthrough of bandwidth, Digital Convergence makes the boundary between computer and communication becomes less and less. The world of C&C is already a fact and 3C ( 2C plus consumer electronics) is just the next step. This implies the Digital home/Converged home is coming. Furthermore, with the development of wireless communication, the 3rd industry revolution is said to be coming. This thesis starts from the background introduction about computer and communication, then looks into the impact from Digital Convergence. In the computer side, the development is from Mainframe to Personal Computer, from close architecture to open, from vertical to horizontal. In Communication side, it includes the development from analogue to digital, from fixed line to wireless, from GSM to 3G. All these technology development plus the revolution of internet makes a big evolution which facilitates the development of Digital Convergence. The integration effect caused by Digital Convergence will make the future world as an anytime and anywhere communication world, including the communication on voice/data/image. Obviously, Digital Convergence is going to level up the wisdom of human being’s life. Last but not the least, the discussion is about the strategies considered from the angle of computer supplier, operator and telecom equipment provider.
