Morphologically and radiographically, sinonasal lymphomas are difficult to distinguish from other malignant neoplasms or nonneoplastic processes. However, there is no general consensus about the need of routine histopathological examination for nasal polyps among otolaryngologists. We present a case of primary sinonasal NHL mimicking chronic rhinosinusitis and debate the issue of routine histopathological examination. We suggest that all tissues removed from the sinonasal tract during surgery must be submitted for histopathological examination.
