<br> Abstract: Having completed the first-year case development project (NSC-94-2420-H-002-047), we found that developing business and management cases can provide benefits in various aspects. Business and management cases can serve as an ideal platform for facilitating productive interactions between academia and practical world, which in turn could enhance the level of relevance of both research and teaching. In addition, due to its holistic nature, case development processes could promote inter-disciplinary conversation on both research and teaching activities. As an exploratory project in nature, the first-year project has produced and formally released eight cases and received a great attention from both the academic community and the society. To leverage and sustain the capacity built from the first year, the current proposal suggests three strategic goals for the second-year initiative. First, we shall expand the scope and scale of the existing case community. Second, we shall elevate the case quality standard and enhance the existing case distribution mechanism. Third, we shall establish workable models to facilitate case-based research. The 2006-2007 case development project is organized and committed by 29 management scholars from 18 educational institutions. We suggest a common theme of business innovation and growth to guide case development. We will complete and release 23 business and management cases. We will share all these cases and developmental experience with the management academic community through at least two openly-enrolled workshops. By so doing, we expect to enhance the case diffusion and expand the case development capacity in the management academic community with the hope of generating more productive interaction between the academia and the business society. Business and Management CasesCase ResearchCase TeachingBusiness Innovation and Growth2006-2007商管產學個案發展與個案研究-總計畫暨子計畫一:友達光電
