Project cycles become shorter, products and requirements are more complex and, with the advent of globalization, virtual settings have become common and will only become more prevalent. Technology provides some solutions in the form of communication such as social tools, which enables people to perform work together without ever the need for face to face physical interactions. Organizations may become more and more flat and project may even be practiced without the form of a traditional organization. Though major project management and organizational issues exist and new issues will arise because of the changing project environment. This thesis puts two central research issues forward. The first question is how to improve project management and secondly how to organize and manage projects in a more and more virtual world. Ultimately a solution in the form of a framework consisting of four important elements is provided to create and build an organization based on information technology in virtual environments. The framework is validated through interviews with industry experts by a qualitative analysis. The most significant result of the research is that the element referred as “strategy socialization” is determined as a very import element for successful project management to close the strategic alignment and technology gap in organizations.2219802 bytesapplication/pdfen-US虛擬團隊專案管理資訊系統架構Project ManagementVirtual TeamsStrategy Socialization虛擬團隊專案管理資訊系統架構研究A Project Management Information System Framework for Virtual Teamsthesishttp://ntur.lib.ntu.edu.tw/bitstream/246246/256607/1/ntu-100-R97749033-1.pdf
