This paper describes the basic concepts of DL/M and briefly introduces the development of Taiwan Digital Museum Project. Then, we discuss how to maintain, to manage and to exchange metadata, especially, from the viewpoint of users and collection features. We propose the draft of metadata, MICI (Metadata Interchange for Chinese Information), developed by ROSS (Resources Organization and Searching Specification) team.
