2016-01-012024-05-14https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/661404摘要:台灣西部沿海的中華白海豚的族群數量僅不到80隻,自2008年起被列極度瀕危,需進行長期監測,以確定族群安危。本計畫持續調查中華白海豚在苗栗至台南海域的族群生態現況,以及其棲息海域的餌食魚類資源。此外為因應離岸風機的水下噪音衝擊,也針對棲地內主要魚種對噪音與震動的生理與行為反應等進行研究,工作內容包含五大項: (1)進行海上調查,預計42趟次,涵蓋苗栗至台南等六縣市海域;(2)舉辦中華白海豚工作坊,提供海上調查以及實驗室工作基本訓練;(3)訪談有在預定保護區內作業的漁民瞭解漁民對保護區的意見;(4)進行魚類群聚調查,研究在新竹、苗栗、彰化、雲林、嘉義等五縣市海域範圍內的淺水域(5-10m)及深水區域(30-40m)的餌食魚類與中華白海豚分佈的關聯;(5)當地主要魚種對人為噪音與震動的生理與行為反應。預期結果包括白海豚在西岸的族群動態、時空分布,以及棲地魚種的組成、豐度和壓力生理等,將可提供主管機關建構保護區或相關保育措施的施政參考。<br> Abstract: The eastern Taiwan Strait population of Chinese White Dolphin (Sousa chinensis) is a small population with size less than 80 individuals and has been listed as critically endangered since 2008. A long term monitoring program is necessary to ensure the population safety. We propose to continuous study the ecology of the Chinese white dolphin, such as the spatial and temporal demography of the dolphins and their prey species. In addition, we also propose to study the behavioral and physiological responses of prey fishes caused by underwater noise in case of the development of offshore wind farm. There are five main tasks in this proposal. (1) Survey for the Chinese white dolphin, we plan to conduct 42 boat surveys to cover the dolphin’s habitat from Miaoli to Tainan. (2) Workshop for dolphin survey, we will provide a two-day program that teaches field and lab skills of dolphin survey. (3) Questionnaire survey for fishermen, we will visit and talk to local fishermen to understand their attitude and opinions to the dolphins and preserve. (4) Fish community study, we will examine and compare the community structures between different water depth along the coast of dolphin habitat. (5) Stress physiology, we will conduct noise treatments on fish to understand their behavioral and physiological responses to stress.
