CVT has been reported to be associated with various etiologies. There are, however, very few reported cases of CVT associated with iron deficiency anemia (IDA), especially in adults. Case Report: We reported the case of a female patient with seizure and hemorrhagic infarction due to sagittal sinus thrombosis. She had severe hypochromic microcytic anemia due to iron deficiency, and had a good prognosis after iron supplementation and oral anticoagulation therapy. Conclusion: The present case indicates that iron deficiency is a risk factor for CVT.Cerebral venous thrombosis; Iron deficiency anemia; Stroke; Uterine myoma[SDGs]SDG3antithrombin III; corticosteroid; D dimer; ferritin; gonadorelin agonist; hemoglobin; heparin; iron; phenytoin; protein S; warfarin; adult; anticoagulant therapy; article; Babinski reflex; blood transfusion; brain angiography; brain hemorrhage; brain infarction; case report; cerebral sinus thrombosis; cranial nerve; encephalomalacia; female; hematocrit; hemifacial spasm; hemoglobin blood level; heparinization; human; hyperreflexia; intensive care unit; intraocular pressure; iron blood level; iron deficiency anemia; iron therapy; mean corpuscular volume; menorrhagia; muscle strength; myopia; neuroimaging; nuclear magnetic resonance imaging; phlebography; prognosis; risk assessment; seizure; strabismus; tonic clonic seizure; traffic accident; uterus myoma; walking difficulty; Adult; Anemia, Iron-Deficiency; Angiography; Female; Humans; Magnetic Resonance Imaging; Sinus Thrombosis, IntracranialIron deficiency anemia - A rare etiology of sinus thrombosis in adultsjournal article207149642-s2.0-77955480851
