2008-08-012024-05-18https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/710057摘要：索緒爾後期開始發展、教授的普通語言學之思想淵源，長久以來一直是個謎題。主要原因在於索氏手稿破碎、不完整，學者在無法掌握文獻全貌的窘境之下，僅能旁敲側擊。其《普通語言學手稿》於2002年出版之後，引起學界不小的騷動。由於手稿內容與其同事於1916年編輯出版的《普通語言學教程》有明顯的出入，現今學者必須重新評估索氏謝世後近一百年的符號科學。本計畫申請人將研讀此批手稿，釐清索氏長久以來為人所攻訐的觀念，並且整理出手稿與教程當中基本觀念的差異，目的在於提陳索氏於二十世紀初透過自然科學思考人文科學方法論的開創性，並且活化其方法論於現今符號學發展的生命力，尤其是手稿當中否定分類邏輯以及系統內意義增生等概念，有助生物符號學者以較公允的觀點，將索緒爾與皮爾斯的符號邏輯放在同一平台上衡量。 <br> Abstract: Between Lectures and Manuscripts: Recovering Saussure in His Orangery Saussurean scholars have been arguing about the background of the general linguistics which Saussure started formulating and teaching toward the end of his life. The main reason for this controversy is the fragmentary nature of Saussure’s manuscripts. Recently discovered manuscripts published in book form, Ecrits de linguistique generale, in 2002, have challenged these previous speculations. It has been discovered that there are several gaps between the way that Saussure actually formulated and proposed his ideas and the way his ideas were summarized by his colleagues and students in Cours de linguistique generale, published in 1916. Due to these discrepancies, scholars should reevaluate the development of semiotics and structural linguistics since the early twentieth century. In my project I will examine some such discrepancies so as to clarify certain Saussure’s key concepts which have been misguidedly criticized. I aim to demonstrate the originality of Saussure’s contemplations on scientific method in the early twentieth century. I also aim to invigorate Saussurean method in the current development of semiotics.
