Many diseases including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, heart disease, stroke, osteoarthritis, fatty liver, cancer, and many more, had been closely associated with obesity. Drinking tea as part of the dietary regime has long been widely recognized as an effective way to maintain optimum health. Varieties of physiological benefits have been documented from consumption of tea phenolics including catechins, theaflavins, flavonoids, phenolic acidsanthocyanins, and etc. Diseases, such as neuro-degeneration, cardiovascular disease, chronic hepatitis, and tumoregenesis, have been successfully prevented or inhibited by drinking tea rich in phenolic compounds. Therefore, present projectaim to further explore whether tea polyphenol after silkworm faeces will have better ability to inhibit obesity, hypertension, and fatty liver development using animal models. Through comparing with the intact tea polyphenol, this study will evaluate the efficacy and underlying mechanism of silkworm sand when exerting the biological functionalities. The results of this research projectwill help to better understand the function of tea silkworm sand and use it as reference for the development of future health product.肥胖兒茶素高血壓脂肪肝茶蠶砂obesitycatechinshypertensionfatty liversilkworm faeces茶蠶砂機能性評估動物試驗
