For that purpose, evaluating the accuracy of default risk models is critical. Such tests usually use a single and specific cutting score, which separates defaulters from non-defaulters, to evaluate the performance of the models. In contrast, this thesis proposes a new test, called the filter test. It uses four financial ratios as the filters to evaluate the accuracy of default risk models. Other reasonable indicators or benchmark values can also be added or replace those in the filter test. Hence, the filter test presents a more general, flexible and objective methodology for evaluating the accuracy of default risk models.Chapter 1 Introduction.....1hapter 2 Literature Review .....4.1 The Merton model.....4.2 Altman’s Z-score.....6.3 The Cumulative Accuracy Profile.....7.4 The Receiver Operating Characteristic.....8hapter 3 The Filter Test.....10.1 The Methodology of the Filter Test.....10.2 An Example of the Filter Test.....11hapter 4 Conclusions.....19ibliography.....20563281 bytesapplication/pdfen-US違約風險估計違約機率Merton模型cumulative accuracy profile (CAP)default risk modeldefault probabilitythe Merton modelAltman’s Z-score違約風險估計模型之準確性評估:濾過性測試Assessing the Accuracy of Default Risk Models:the Filter Testthesishttp://ntur.lib.ntu.edu.tw/bitstream/246246/185418/1/ntu-98-R96922028-1.pdf
