It was found that the optical configuration for linear cavity was arranged to be same as the ring cavity except that the gain medium was located at the cavity center. It was observed that the thermally induced polarization rotation was reduced in the nonplanar ring cavity.Birefringence; Doping (additives); Light polarization; Mirrors; Optical instrument lenses; Ring lasers; Semiconductor lasers; Linear cavity; Nonplanar ring laser cavity; Cavity resonatorsReduction of thermally-induced polarization rotation in a nonplanar ring laser cavityconference paper2-s2.0-0035681689
