補助人文及社會科學研究圖書計畫規劃主題：人口與家庭

2013-06-012024-05-18https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/701694摘要：全球歷經上個世紀在政治、社會經濟的重大轉折與衝擊後，已連帶影響並造成家庭在制度面與結構面出現實質的變化，不但結婚與生育的時間延後，這些事件發生的數量也逐漸減少，同居與非婚生子女則明顯增多，過去依賴墮胎達成生育控制的措施也由現代避孕方法取代。由於前述重要家庭事件出現的時間、次數與順序逐漸偏離家庭生命週期的傳統思維，家庭組成、結構既多元且歧異的發展趨勢促使學者嘗試研究這些家庭事件的相互影響關係，並結合其他新的事件共同型塑成為家庭人口學領域，藉此對於當代家庭變遷與差異提出許多重要的研究發現與解釋觀點。近年來，該研究領域在歐美學界蓬勃發展，除了在社會學與經濟學被大量採用，也吸引其他學科領域如人類學、兒童發展、家庭研究、遺傳與醫學、地理學、心理學與公共衛生採用這些觀點與方法進行家庭研究。為了引介家庭人口學主要理論觀點與研究成果，並提供學者、研究人員與學生豐富的紙本與線上圖書等參考資料，本計畫已先行組成圖書典藏規劃委員會，規劃未來在臺大圖書館之人口與家庭典藏圖書的主要方向與內容。初步擬定的採購書單著重家庭人口學主要次領域，包括：家庭動態、人口轉型、生命歷程與家庭、婚姻與離婚、代間關係、低生育率與遷移，研究的場域則涵蓋全球個別國家與主要地區。臺大圖書館雖然館藏豐富，在此一領域的圖書資料則明顯低於國外頂尖研究型大學。因此，本計畫預期透過國科會補助人文及社會科學研究圖書計畫購置近期家庭與人口的重要圖書，並結合現有館藏與電子資料，以作為國內從事人口與家庭研究之學者與學生重要的文獻參考來源。<br> Abstract: Following tremendous socioeconomic and political transformations globally, there were substantial changes in the institution and structure of family, dramatic declines in marriage and childbearing, significant increases in nonmarital cohabitation and childbearing, and a movement from reliance on abortion to a reliance on contraception for fertility limitation. Growing diversity in the timing, number and sequencing of family events led researchers to study the interaction of family events and to incorporate new events into family demography to provide a more accurate accounting of family change and variation. The development of family demography has also increased the number of disciplines that have adopted the demographic perspective in recent decades. While the majority of family demographers had training in sociology and a substantial minority had training in economics, more researchers in the fields of anthropology, child development, family studies, genetics, geography, medicine, psychology, and public health have come to employ the concepts and tools of family demography. To provide scholars, researchers and students with access to a wide range of print and online resources for studying and examining changes in family behaviors and household relationships from a demographic perspective, this project aims to frame the principles and contents for purchasing important library collections related to the subject of family demography. The proposed list of books and theses has comprehensively covered the topics such as family dynamics, demographic transition, life course and family, marriage and divorce, intergenerational relationship, low fertility and migration from most countries and regions. While the NTU library is the largest one in Taiwan, the collections in those topics of family and demography are limited compared with top research universities.
