This research designs a real-time operating system for the realization of home monitoring and controlling via power lines or infrared media. We also design a unified medium access control (MAC) protocol so that it will be easy for swapping and including different hardware transceivers, such as Bluetooth. The designed platform is low cost, low power, flexible, and easy for construction and maintenance. © 2006 IEEE.[SDGs]SDG7Computer operating systems; Condition monitoring; Cost effectiveness; Energy efficiency; Real time systems; Transceivers; Home controlling; Home monitoring; Real time operating systems; Embedded systemsAnother real-time operating system and unified MAC protocol for home controlling and monitoring.conference paper10.1109/SEUS-WCCIA.2006.15https://doi.org/10.1109/SEUS-WCCIA.2006.15
