2010-08-012024-05-18https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/700039摘要:在人以及道德的起源問題上,Darwin的演化論所提供的自然論的說明,嚴重威脅神創論所提供的超自然的說明,因為它使得上帝之有計畫的創造成為不必要的、多餘的,從而是可以取消的假設。演化論之所以令人擔憂,在於它似乎會危及人之尊嚴的想法、會讓人生不再有意義、會使得道德之客觀性不保。本研究計畫的目的在於檢視Darwin的演化論是否真的蘊涵了這三個論題。我認為Darwin的演化論既不會使人之尊嚴的想法成為多餘,也不會使人生變得沒有意義,也不至於使得道德的客觀性完全不保。為此,我將設法論證:(1)Darwin的演化論確實與人之尊嚴、人生意義、道德之客觀性的主張有關,而非兩回事;(2)傳統以來支持人之尊嚴、人生意義和道德客觀性的基礎確實受到Darwin之演化論的嚴重威脅,甚至可說是岌岌可危;(3)然而,這並不表示人之尊嚴的想法就該放棄,並不表示人生不再有意義,也不表示道德就完全不再具有客觀性;(4)為了回應Darwin之演化論的挑戰,人之尊嚴、人生意義和道德的客觀性可以也必須建立在新的基礎之上。<br> Abstract: The naturalistic explanation, provided by Darwin, for the origin of man and morality, poses a serious threat to Creationism, in the sense that it renders redundant the idea of God’s planned creation. People feel uneasy about Darwin’s doctrine because it is widely held that evolutionary theory would undermine the idea of human dignity, make human life meaningless, and eradicate moral objectivity. In my research project, I aim to check if Darwin’s theory has such implications. I maintain that it dose not. To this end, I will argue (1) that Darwin’s evolutionary theory is not irrelevant to human dignity, meaning of life, and moral objectivity; (2) that the base which traditionally supported human dignity, meaning of life, and moral objectivity was seriously undermined by Darwin’s theory. (3) However, it does not follow that we should abandon the idea of human dignity, nor that human life has since become meaningless, nor that moral objectivity is just an illusion.
