Currently, there are three divisions in our Department, including Division of General Neurology and Cerebrovascular Disease, Division of Neuromuscular Disorders, and Division of Diagnostic Neurophysiology. The department offers an array of clinical activities in inpatient and outpatient care西元1947 年，臺大醫院成立神經精神科，對於癲癇，巴金森氏症，神經梅毒，以及腦炎等疾病開始嘗試藥物治療。腦電圖的引進，開啟了神經生理學的發展。 六○年代，洪祖培教授自英國學成歸國，成為臺灣第一個受過正統神經學訓練的醫師。透過系統性的神經學檢查方式以及新穎的神經放射學技術，臺灣的臨床神經學自臺大神經精神科開始蓬勃發展。進入八○年代，除了影像以及神經生理診斷學的進步，免疫學，藥理學等基礎科學的研究使得神經系統疾病的診斷及治療有突破性的發展。各種神經疾病包括腦血管疾病，巴金森氏症，失智症等逐漸在臺灣受到重視。 臺大醫院神經部在西元1980 年自神經精神科獨立出來，更加致力於神經醫學的研究。臺大神經部目前共設有三個分科，包括神經及腦血管病科、神經肌病科、神經電子診斷科。Academic Institute
