The scope of research includes literature and other forms of texts: fiction, poetry, cinema, anime, pop music, and illustrations. The overall rationale aims at inheriting the previous research achievements as well as expanding more textual analysis and theoretical breadth. The participating members from the three departments of the College of Liberal Arts strive to produce intellectual dialogue through departmental collaborations among junior and senior professors in different disciplines while allowing all the members to broaden and strengthen their own research by way of different languages (e.g., English, Spanish, Japanese, French) and various cultural vistas. The nine individual titles include: “West Indian Land/escape in North American Literature”; “Imaginary Global Space in 1700-1860 British Novel and Capitalism”; “British Romantic Cityscapes: The Metropolis and Its Visual Translations”; “Exchanging Englishness across Europe and India: Lear’s Landscape of Nonsense”; “Japanese Haiku and Scenery Records, Modernist Poetry and Landscape Imagination in Latin America”; “Reading Orientation of Boys’ Love, Crowd Phenomenon and Master-Servant Relationship in Japanese Pop Culture”; and “Vanishing Boundaries between Russian Literature and Movies.”北美文學西印度英國小說全球化資本主義英國浪漫主義視覺轉譯歐/亞地景轉換日本俳句日本風物誌拉美現代主義BL日本流行文化俄國文學電影West Indian Land/escape1700-1860 British NovelCapitalismBritish Romantic CityscapesLear’s Landscape of NonsenseJapanese Haiku and Scenery RecordsBoys’ LoveModernism in Latin AmericaJapanese Pop CultureRussian Literature and Movies《臺灣與世界對話》跨文化與跨媒材的轉譯研究
