Extraction of natural compounds from essential oils and extracts of sugi tree would be helpful to expand the utilization of forest products and increase the economic values. Therefore, the purpose of this plan is to isolate the antibacterial extractives from the essential oils from sugi tree. Major constituents of essential oils from sugi tree are identified by GC-MS analysis. Antibacterial activities of oils and compounds are examined by the antibacterial assay.
