The Fund can be used as a flexible source of financial resources for other projects planned by the College in a situation when funds for such projects are insufficient, so that they can still be properly arranged and executed. At present the Fund is used to expand library databases (e.g. Heinonline and Beckonline), maintain and upgrade teaching facilities, design and build Chinese and English websites of the College, invite visiting scholars and speakers, as well as cover editing and translation costs, or any other extra expenditures.
