2008-03-012024-05-17https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/690695摘要：我們在過去三年中，成功舉辦了「展望」科普演講系列，這個計畫是由國科會科教 處提出初始構想，而由中央大學理學院科學教育中心規劃並執行。「展望」系列每一年 分春秋兩季，每季各有八場演講，在連續八週的每週五晚間舉行，舉辦的地點皆在台灣 大學應用力學研究所演講廳。每季的演講主軸不同，三年來涵蓋了「生活科技」、「探索 未知」、「人與環境」、「科學的極限」，以及專門紀念愛因斯坦重要貢獻一百週年的「物 理光耀世界I、II」等，內容包含了物理、工程、能源、環保、天文，以及生命科學等 各重要尖端領域。所邀請的講座皆為國內各大專院校及研究機構傑出的研究學者，三年 來共邀請了約五十位教授和研究人員擔綱演講。因為主題規劃與民眾生活及尖端科技研 發密切相關，邀請講座皆為學術界一時之選，同時主持人也以幽默的方式，創造輕鬆愉 快的氛圍，因此吸引為數眾多的民眾和學生參加。三年下來聽講人次超過一萬三千人， 對增加學術界和民眾的直接接觸，以及將國內學者所進行的尖端研究，以通俗的方式介 紹給一般大眾，做出了明顯的貢獻。我們因此希望，能夠持續舉辦這一科普教育成效良 好的演講系列，我們進行了三年的長期規劃，希望能有穩定的經費來源，同時各演講系 列的主軸及講座人選也能提早規劃，使民眾及學生有所期盼，以能更進一步發揮這一系 列演講的科教效果。2006 年春季系列已經規劃完畢，主軸為「觀察與認知— 心靈‧ 生物‧地球‧宇宙」，其他各季的主軸及講座人選也正進行規劃中。這一科普演講系列 成功的另一因素，為大眾傳播媒體的肯定與支持，我們在過去三年中，與平面媒體（聯 合報及遠流）、電子媒體（公共電視），以及電台（中廣及NEWS98）密切合作，在演講 前的文宣，及演講後的摘要報導，這些媒體都提供了極大的幫助，使得單一的演講，能 夠在傳播媒體上和民眾多次見面，充分發揮文宣的效果。我們因此希望往後三年，在這 個計畫支持下，可以和以上這些媒體繼續合作，長期舉辦受民眾和學生歡迎的科普演講 系列，為國內的科普教育持續奉獻心力。<br> Abstract: In the past 3 years, we have successfully conducted the “Prospect”lecture series. This popular science lecture series was initiated by the Science Education Division in the National Science Council, and was planned and conducted by the Science Education Center at the National Central University. There are two seasons of lectures each year, in the Spring and in the Fall, respectively, held in the Lecture Hall of the Applied Mechanics Institute at the National Taiwan University. There are 8 episodes in each season, with different central theme, covering “Technologies in Daily Life”, “Exploration of the Unknowns”, “Human and the Environment”, “The Limits of Sciences”, and two series on “Physics Enlightens the World”, etc. The content covers physics, engineering, energy, environment, astronomy, and life science. The invited speakers come from universities and research institutes in Taiwan. In the past 3 years, we have invited a total of 50 speakers for this series. Since the central themes are well connected to the daily life of the general public, and since the host could create an easy and humorous atmosphere, this lecture series have attracted more than 13,000 people, making a significant contribution in bringing together the academia and the general public, and in introducing the advanced research to the students and the general public. We thus hope to continue holding this very fruitful lecture series and propose for a 3-year plan. If a long-term proposal can be approved, we will then have steady funding source and the themes and the speakers can be determined well in advance, giving the general public a long-term expectation in attending this lecture series. The theme of the Spring series in 2006 has been determined: “Observation and Cognition: Mind, Creatures, Earth, and Universe”. Another factor that this lecture series is successful is the cooperation with the public media. We have collaborated with UDN, PBS, BCC, and NEWS98, who have helped advertising the talks before the series and posted content afterwards. Thus one single lecture will have multiple opportunities to meet the press.
