Among then 1274( 50.9%) were male and 1229 (49.1%) female. We found that 771 subjects (30.8%) still had sexual inetercourse, 5(0.2%) only mastrubation while 1717 (69%) had no sexual activity at all. Among those still had sexual intercourse, their partners were spouse(93.5% ), non-spouse (3.6%) and both (0.2 %) respectively. The frequency of sexual intercouse were as follows: ≧6 times per month: 0.8%; 1-5 times per month: 78. 7%; 1 time every 2-3 months: 13.9%; uncertain: 6.6%. The older the subjects were, the less the percentage of sexual activity. There was no difference in gender, smoking, drinking and daily activity. Loss of libido(38.2%) and loss of spouse (28.5%) were the main two reasons among those who had no sexual activity. Based on these data, we concluded that aging is the major factor of reduction in sexual activity in the elderly in Taiwan.#0053#en-USA Survey on Sexual Activity of the Elderly Aged 65 Years and over in Taiwan台灣地區六十五歲以上老人之性活力調查報告
