My research has contributed to the public administration field by revealing the design principles for effective crowdsourcing and online engagement in the public sector. These results suggest that properly designed ICT platforms can empower citizens and enhance the effectiveness of public services and goods, as shown in my publications in Public Administration Review (SSCI, 2/47, 2017), Australian Journal of Public Administration (SSCI, 30/47, 2016), and Information Polity (SCOPUS 19/111, 2015). Public Administration Review was not only ranked as the No. 2 journal in the public administration field, but also one of the most circulated and read journal by the government officials. Australian Journal of Public Administration also has a great influence in the Australian government. Three of her publications were recorded and recognized by the journals as the impactful outputs. Nonprofit Management and Regulations Also, by applying network and management theories, my research team has revealed network interaction and structures for understanding the collective behavior among social service providers and informs the public and nonprofit managers for implementing welfare reform, long-term care policy and disaster relief. Furthermore, I am known for my specialty in analyzing large nonprofit datasets from the National Center for Charitable Statistics (NCCS), the Indiana Nonprofit Sector Project in the US, and the Chinese Foundation Center. Our findings have implications for enhancing the capacity and development of nonprofit organizations and have served as important pieces in government policy and regulation. For instance, one study has informed the US IRS registration policy reform regarding the e-postcard requirement. These studies are highly cited and published in top public administration and nonprofit journals, including Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly (SSCI 5/41, 2013), International Public Management Journal (SSCI, 8/41, 2012) and VOLUNTAS: International Journal of Voluntary and Nonprofit Organizations (SSCI, 22/41, 2016). In sum, as a faculty member, my long-term goal is to establish a world-class research platform in government nonprofit management by continuing to reach the research communities in Asia and with support from networks in the United States and European. With support of this new initiative, I will expand my research scope and continue to serve as a bridge between the western and eastern academic worlds.眾包開放式創新社交網絡分析非營利組織管理政府治理crowdsourcingopen innovationsocial network analysisnonprofit managementgovernance教育部【玉山青年學者】計畫-社會科學院劉康慧
