In this paper, we present an Internet connectivity sharing system, called iShare, based on the concept of ad-hoc networking. In iShare, the efficiency and load-balancing issues are considered. Also, the functionalities of gateway discovery/selection and routing inter-operability as well as address assignment, IP tunneling, and firewall/NAT are designed and implemented. The experimental results for our implementation prototype indicate that the performance of our iShare system is acceptable for Internet connectivity to access HTTP services. ? 2011 IEEE.Internet Connectivity SharingMultiple GatewaysWireless Ad-hoc NetworksiShare: An ad-hoc sharing system for internet connectivityconference paper10.1109/IWCMC.2011.59828322-s2.0-80052509057https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-80052509057&doi=10.1109%2fIWCMC.2011.5982832&partnerID=40&md5=b2b55b5b0503d8dbab9b8859d2bf93ee
