This kind of speech act exists in every language, but their language use is quite complicated, because it involves many related aspects. In the past, the literature has shown that the expression and strategy of this kind of speech act are all affected by cultural differences. In this study, the Chinese Balanced Corpus of Academia Sinica (Sinica Corpus) and the Real Academia Española-Corpus de Referencia del Español Actual (CREA) are used as comparison and reference to collect and analyze data. The corpus is a real and reliable method of data collection, but the existing literature using it as a research method is limited to English, and the corpus of Spanish and Chinese has not been explored by scholars. As native speakers of Chinese, we will explore our mother tongue and the learner’s target language – Spanish, and compare the similarities and differences between the two languages from the perspectives of pragmatics and socio-pragmatics, so that we can teach students and make them pay more attention to the language and cultural characteristics of Chinese and Spanish, same as to improve their pragmatics and communication skills. It is hoped that the research on interlanguage pragmatics will be more diverse and enriched, and to supplement the current deficiencies of the Chinese population in such research. This research project predicts that from theoretical development, data collection and analysis to the final empirical results, all are based on interlanguage, establishing a polite spoken Spanish teaching model for Spanish learners, and providing both Chinese and Spanish in interlanguage. Putting forward new insights in cross cultural studies to complement the areas that haven’t yet been explored in Chinese and Spanish cross-cultural pragmatic knowledge and research.Apologies, speech acts, interlanguage pragmatics, cross-cultural communication, corpus, Spanish politeness, Spanish as a Foreign Language創始計畫-基於語料庫的漢西道歉言語行為跨文化研究
