2008-07-172024-05-17https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/684758摘要:台灣水牛與一般乳牛(荷蘭牛)的繁殖效能比較起來較為低落,但進一步探究發現,其產仔數與育成率並無顯著差異。而造成水牛繁殖性能低落的主要原因,是母水牛性成熟較晚以致初產年齡延後,加上較長的懷孕期與胎距。因此,要改進水牛之繁殖效能,便需從繁殖生理之調查與評估著手。應用生殖相關內泌素(動情素、孕酮和皮質醇等)之分析與監控,瞭解其動情週期並可準確預測懷孕與否,進而調整配種時間以縮短胎距,並配合生殖內泌素分析評估縮短性成熟年齡之可行性。藉此將初產年齡提前加上縮短胎距,將可達到最佳之繁殖性能管理。由於台灣水牛產業的縮減,相關水牛生殖內泌素資料闕如,因此本計畫初始目的即在建立台灣水牛生殖內泌素基本資料,並建立資料庫,以供相關研究查詢參考。<br> Abstract: The reproductive performance of Taiwan buffalo is lower comparing with Hostein dairy cattle in Taiwan. But further study found that their number of born and farrowing rate do not show significant difference. The main reasons for lower reproductive performance in buffalo is due to its relatively late sexual maturity hence postponing the age of first pregnancy, in addition, the long gestation period and longer period between successive pregnancy also results in the lower reproduction performance. In order to improve the reproductive performance in Taiwan buffalo, the reproductive physiology need to be investigated and assessed. Analysis and monitoring reproductive hormones in buffalo can predict their estrous cycle, early prediction of pregnancy and shortening the period between successive gestations. By analyzing reproductive hormones(estrogen, progesterone, cortisol etc.), we can assess the possibility of advancing the time of sexual maturity and the age of the first pregnancy. Because of the reduction of the buffalo industry in Taiwan, the information related to reproductive hormones of Taiwan buffalo is relatively scarce. So, the purpose of this proposal is to establish the basic data related to reproductive hormones of buffalo, then further setting up relevant physiological database of Taiwan buffalo.
