This article describes two patients withβ- thalassemia major and hemochromatosis complicated by Klebsiella pneumoniae liver abscess. One of the patients had severe complications, including subphrenic abscess, pleural effusion and meningitis. To present knowledge, the occurrence of K. pneumoniae liver abscess in patients withβ- thalassemia major has never before been reported in the literature.#0207 #en-USjournal article
