The mapping of taxon diversity and analyzing these geographical patterns are crucial first steps for constructing practical strategies for conserving biodiversity. This research, using birds as indicator of biodiversity, will investigate the spatial pattern of bird species richness in East Asia (Asia east of longitude 70°E) and seek to identify biodiversity hotspots in East Asia by species richness of following groups: (1) overall species, (2) restricted-range species, (3) threaten species. The identified biodiversity hotspots will be further examined in spatial correlation. The species richness of each avian order and passerine family will also be overlaid and examined in spatial correlation.生物多樣性熱點分析物種豐富度東亞biodiversity hotspot analysisspecies richnessEast Asia生物多樣性之空間相關性分析
