This paper presents a fisheye lens-based BFN (FL-BFN) by parallel-plate sandwiched substrates. It implements the beam and antenna excitation ports on the half-circular circumference and straight-line boundaries. The rule to determine the positions of antenna elements is shown for easy design. The performance is validated by using it to excite a Vivaldi antenna array. Measurements over a prototype were performed to validate its feasibility with good agreements. ? 2021 IEEE.Antenna arrayBeamforming networkFisheye lensMulti-beam radiationParallel-plate substrateAntenna phased arraysBeam forming networksBeamformingLens antennasMultibeam antennasAntenna elementExcitation portFish-eye lensLine boundariesMultibeamsParallel platesPhased-arraysSubstratesMultibeam Radiations of Aperiodic Phased Array of Antennas Excited by Fisheye Lens BFNconference paper10.1109/ICCE-TW52618.2021.96030572-s2.0-85123059451
