2019-06-012024-05-18https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/701423摘要:蚯蚓是溫帶與亞熱帶森林與農業生態系中最主要的土壤動物,牠們的活動會改變土 壤中微生物與其他無脊椎動物的群聚結構,也會影響植物的生長以及土壤的碳、氮 循環。過去數十年來,相關的研究多是以蚯蚓的功能群為中心,探討不同功能群的 影響;但目前常用的蚯蚓功能群分類方式不只早已過時,近年的研究也顯示此功能 群劃分無法在碳、氮循環相關的研究中發揮預期中應有的功能。本研究旨在以碳、 氮穩定同位素探討蚯蚓的功能群,提出一個新的功能群分類系統,並結合跨植群、 跨洲、跨類群的資料,檢驗基於此功能群劃分的相關假說,並驗證新的功能群分類 是否能適用於不同的氣候帶、生態系與蚯蚓系群。為達成此研究目標,我們將跨越 不同緯度,在台灣、日本、美國東岸共32個森林或農業生態系樣區採樣,分析蚯 蚓的群聚組成,以及蚯蚓、土壤與凋落物的穩定同位素樣本;除了針對同位素進行 分析之外,也會探討包含碳、氮穩定同位素在內的相關環境因子與蚯蚓功能群組成 之關聯。未來無論是在生態系統功能、土壤無脊椎動物與微生物跨類群的交互作用 、或是地上與地下部交互作用等各個領域,新的功能群分類在經過廣泛驗證後,將 能為這些相關研究提供必要的理論基礎。<br> Abstract: In temperate and subtropical forest and agricultural ecosystems, earthworms are the most dominant soil animals. Their activities shape the community structures of other soil biota, from invertebrates to micro-organisms, and have profound influence on plants and on soil carbon and nitrogen cycles. For decades, this influence has most often been studied using the approach of functional groups. However, our current earthworm functional group classification has recently and repeatedly been shown to be inadequate when studying biogeochemical and ecosystem processes regarding soil carbon and nitrogen. In this project, we will propose a revised concept of earthworm functional groups and validate this system by testing hypotheses predicted under this concept and by generalizing this concept to include species from different climate zones, vegetations, geographical areas, and taxonomic groups using carbon and nitrogen stable isotopes. To achieve these goals, we will investigate the community structure of earthworms and analyze samples of earthworms, soil and leaf litter from a total of 32 forest or agricultural sites in Taiwan, Japan and the USA.
