The energy-based criterion is adopted in the present study to analyze the debond length, the crack-opening displacement, and the displacement of the composite due to interfacial debonding. The results are identical to the previous results obtained from a simple approach, in which interfacial debonding is assumed to occur when the mismatch in the axial strain between the fiber and the matrix reaches a critical value. Furthermore, the mismatch-strain criterion is found to bear the same physical meaning as the strength-based criterion.[SDGs]SDG11Crack-wake interfacial debonding criteria for fiber-reinforced ceramic compositesjournal article10.1016/1359-6454(95)00369-X2-s2.0-0030169230https://www2.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-0030169230&doi=10.1016%2f1359-6454%2895%2900369-X&partnerID=40&md5=15ad97f61895413f7fe8f317df4ca5d4
