Unlike typical synthetic jets (i.e. zero-net-mass-flux jets), the hybrid synthetic jets are nonzero-net-mass-flux jets. Hot-wire measurements show enhancement of the extrusion volume to suction volume, and the ratio of 1.69 is achieved. The volumetric efficiency is 26% for the present hexagonally arranged hybrid synthetic jets, while it was 19% for the previous trigonally arranged variant. Although the velocity along the central SJ axis decreases rather quickly, the velocity is higher than that for the trigonally arranged variant.[SDGs]SDG7The performance of hexagonally arranged hybrid synthetic jetsjournal article10.1615/JFlowVisImageProc.20120019332-s2.0-84873507490
