2011-08-012024-05-18https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/701661摘要:這個研究計畫的主旨是採用受試者內的設計,探討中文字語意處理的年齡效果在神經機制上的變化,亦即觀察 9 歲至 18 歲以中文為母語的孩童的語意發展變化。這些孩童們都已經參與了先前的橫貫式研究,他們在兩年之後將再次參與語意判斷的實驗。孩童們將判斷是否兩個字在中文意義上有關聯。實驗的刺激材料分為三組: 高語意相關字對,低語意相關字對,及語意不相關字對 (Hue et al., 2005)。這是一個三年期的研究計畫:第一年及第二年的計畫,係探討孩童語意關聯的神經機制之發展變化,計畫將收集孩童的行為及功能性磁振造影 (fMRI) 資料,並探討行為與腦活動之間的對應關係,以期瞭解閱讀中文字的字彙辨識系統的功能性組織。第三年的計畫,係採用動態因果推論模式,探索語意網絡中的前向及後向連結,計算神經訊號由腦區甲傳送到腦區乙,以及腦區乙如何傳送回饋的神經訊號去影響腦區甲,進而推論出不同腦區之間因認知活動而產生的功能性連結。預期的語意發展變化結果為:(1) 字形、字音、字義之間的轉換會更有效率;(2) 與語意處理相關的腦區活動會更特化;(3) 不同腦區之間的功能性連結在處理語意上會更緊密。<br> Abstract: This project is to explore the neural correlates of developmental processes of semantic processing to Chinese characters for the children between ages 9 and 18, using a within-subjects design. These children have come to participant for a previous cross-sectional study. They will come for the second time to be evaluated about the changes of neural mechanisms of semantic processing in a two-year interval. Children will be asked to judge if two Chinese characters are related in meaning. Experimental materials will be classified as three types of character pairs: closely related pairs, distantly related pairs, and unrelated pairs (Hue, et al., 2005). This is a three-year project. The plan of first two years is to examine the developmental effects of neural correlates of semantic association in Chinese for children, using behavioral measurements and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). The relationship between behavioral data and brain images will be helpful to understand the functional architecture of word recognition systems for reading Chinese characters. The plan of the third year is to use effective connectivity (dynamic causal modeling) to explore both forward and backward connections within a semantic network, computing the neuronal influence from a region A to a region B and the feedback from a region B to a region A.
