A 17-year-old boy had a mediastinal mass leading to total obstruction of the superior vena cava with cardiac tamponade and pleural effusion. Further imaging studies and biopsy showed that the origin was a yolk sac tumor. After surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy, no recurrence was noted during a follow-up of 20 months. This report describes the magnetic resonance imaging characteristics of pericardial yolk sac tumor.[SDGs]SDG3bleomycin; cisplatin; etoposide; adjuvant chemotherapy; adolescent; article; case report; follow up; heart muscle biopsy; heart surgery; heart tamponade; human; imaging system; male; mediastinum mass; nuclear magnetic resonance imaging; pericardial disease; pleura effusion; superior cava vein obstruction; tumor recurrence; yolk sac tumor; Adolescent; Cardiac Tamponade; Endodermal Sinus Tumor; Heart Neoplasms; Humans; Magnetic Resonance Imaging; Male; PericardiumCardiac tamponade caused by intrapericardial yolk sac tumor in a boyjournal article121018542-s2.0-0036304996
