First, the PRC abandons its unyielding position towards “sovereignty” and chooses a more practical policy instead. Second, the political systems, social values, ideology and living standards of both sides must be closer and closer. Third, the power of the ROC must be strong enough to survive the possible “doublecross” of the PRC.
