The target of this project is to isolate antioxidative extractives from the ethanolic extract of Ceylon olive leaves. The active subfractions and compounds are isolated and purified by chromatographic separation techniques. Antioxidative activities of subfractions and compounds are examined by antioxidant assays, including DPPH radical scavenging test, and reducing power assay, etc. Through this research, it is expected that extract from Ceylon olive leaves is of great potential as antioxidative agent.
