<br> Abstract: This project mainly regards the study of the Book of Songs in Japan and Korea as subject and accomplishes relative research articles in three-year schedule. To begin with, this project focuses on the textual context of the works related to the Book of Songs during Japanese Edo period and Joseon Korea, and considers how Japanese and Korean Confucians interpret the Book of Songs from the ethical point of view. At the same time, I also consider which strategy and method they adopt and suggest suitable value to its culture for adapting endemic emotion. Second, I investigate the fundamental factor why Japanese and Korean interpret in this way in their cultural history. Integrating these two aspects, I finally observe that the way Japanese and Korean Confucians conduct “contextual turn” on the Book of Songs which originally belongs to China, and contrast differences between Japanese and Korean Confucians. This project has a close relationship with other sub-projects. The Book of Poetry is one of important classics of Confucianism like the Mencius(sub-project 1) and the Xunzi(sub-project 2). Moreover, its individual and sociopolitical moral conception correlates to Mencius’ “renzheng 仁政” and “renxin 仁心”(sub-project 1) and to statecraft thinking(sub-project 4). Besides, this project also highly overlaps with concept of the meaning of words(sub-project 5) in hermeneutics of the classics.《詩經》江戶時期朝鮮時期脈絡性轉換the Book of PoetryEdo period,Joseon Korea, contextual turn優勢重點領域拔尖方案─最具競爭力團隊計畫【東亞儒學的核心經典(3):日韓《詩經》學】
