These cetacean carcasses are very valuable source for specimens, tissue samples, and data archive. Only by following rigorous sampling procedures and storage protocols can the samples be properly preserved for future study. Therefore, the goals of present project are not only maintaining the standard stranding response operations, dissecting about 20 carcasses, data bank updating, preparing 2 sets of skeleton specimens, and cataloging 5 skeletons in NTU-museum of Zoology, but also aiming to submit one academic papers for publication in international scientific journals.
