It is found that for β>8/7 no dynamic snap-through will occur when the arch is stretched. However, as long as β<4, dynamic snap-through is still possible when the arch is compressed. © ASCE / MARCH 2004.application/pdf700723 bytesapplication/pdfen-USArches; Compression; Elastic foundations; StabilityCompaction; Dimensional stability; Elasticity; Dynamic stability; Elastic constants; Arches; arch; dynamic response; earthquake engineering; elasticity; vibrationEffects of Prescribed End Motion on the Dynamic Stability of a Shallow Arch on an Elastic Foundationjournal article2-s2.0-1642529007http://ntur.lib.ntu.edu.tw/bitstream/246246/85571/1/17.pdf
